Prompt AI Academy ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website at www.promptaiacademy.com.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and optionally your company name. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled securely by Stripe — we never store your credit card information.

Usage Data: We collect information about how you use the Service, including: lessons completed, grades received, time spent, streak data, badges earned, and assessment results.

Analytics: We use Google Analytics (GA4) to collect anonymized browsing data including pages visited, time on site, and referral sources. This data helps us improve the Service.

Submissions: When you submit work for AI grading, your submission is sent to the Anthropic API (Claude) for processing. Anthropic's use of data is governed by their own privacy policy.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Provide and improve the training platform
Track your learning progress and streaks
Grade your submissions using AI
Generate completion certificates
Send you important account-related communications
Aggregate anonymous data for platform analytics
If you opt in, notify you about new features, industry tracks, or updates

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with:

Anthropic: Your grading submissions are processed by Claude AI
Stripe: Payment processing for paid subscriptions
Supabase: Secure database hosting for account and progress data
Google Analytics: Anonymized usage analytics
Your organization: If you're part of a team plan, your supervisor can see your lesson progress, scores, and completion status

4. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure authentication tokens, rate limiting, and password hashing through Supabase Auth. While no system is 100% secure, we take reasonable precautions to protect your data.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data and learning progress for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days. Anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your account and associated data; opt out of marketing communications; and export your learning progress data.

7. Cookies

We use localStorage (browser storage) to save your session, theme preference, and onboarding tour status. Google Analytics may set cookies for analytics purposes. We do not use advertising cookies.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. The "Effective Date" at the top indicates the latest revision.
